Family Reading Night

JOIN US THIS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 22ND FROM 6-8PM FOR FAMILY READING NIGHT!
We will be exploring the works of Christina Soontornvat all year long, with a one book, one school and an author visit in the Spring. Kick off the the year long celebration at Family Reading Night with your family and friends by participating in a variety of activities, including:
-Meet the creatures of Crosstown Exotics
-Make a lotus flower
-Play a math map game
-Create your own masterpiece
-Flash your best smile in the Photo Booth
-Support the Prospect Library with every book fair purchase, and more!!
Lotus flower cookies will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis to attendees with parent approval in accordance with district policy. Ingredients for cookies are as follows: Unsalted butter, sugar, Eggs, Baking powder, Pure vanilla extract, Unbleached flour, Powdered sugar, Skim milk, and Corn syrup. Volunteers Needed for the Book Fair!

The Book Fair Committee needs your help! We’re still looking for a few more volunteers to assist with setup on Monday, October 20th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Charleston Wrap Fundraiser -- EXTENDED

The Charleston Wrap Fundraiser benefiting the Prospect PTO will be extended for ONE MORE WEEK! The new deadline to order products in time for the holidays will be Friday, October 24th. Back by popular demand, order Home Run Inn Take 'N Bake pizzas, salads and cupcakes with easy pick up at the school. A portion of your order will be donated back to the Prospect PTO.
Pick up at the school lobby from 2:45-3:15 on October 30th -- just in time for Halloween! Pizzas can be baked within 48 hours, so make it right away, or save it for an easy dinner on the big day. Orders must be placed by October 27 using this link.

PLEASE JOIN US FOR PROSPECT LIBRARY’S FALL BOOK FAIR
PARTNERING WITH ANDERSON'S BOOKFAIR COMPANY
A magical reading adventure awaits at our Fall Book Fair! It’s the perfect chance to discover new books, dive into exciting stories, and pick up some early gifts for family and friends all while supporting our school library. A wide selection of books for all ages will be available, including fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, activity books, and more!
When:
• Tuesday, October 21st from 8:25am – 3:30pm
• Wednesday, October 22nd from 8:25am – 3:30pm and from 6:00-8:00pm during Prospect's Family Reading Night
Important Info:
• Students in Grades Kinder thru 5th will visit the fair as a class at the times listed below. Parents are welcome (and encouraged) to join their child(ren) when they shop with their class! You are also welcome to send money with your child to shop during this time and our volunteers will help your child manage the purchasing process.
• We accept CASH and all major CREDIT CARDS (sorry no checks).
• You can help our teachers build their class libraries too! Make sure to check out the Teacher Baskets to donate a book to your child(ren)’s classroom.
The Prospect Library directly benefits from a portion of all book fair sales. These proceeds help us add new titles to our collection and replace worn out favorites ensuring our library continues to grow and inspire a love of reading.
