Hot Lunch Time! Important Sign Up Date!

Prospect School will once again offer hot lunch options for students. Menu selections will be the same as last year. The menu will include Home Run Inn pizza (regular and gluten free option), Culver's burger, and Culver's chicken tenders or grilled cheese. Hot lunch will be served on rotating Wednesdays and Fridays.

Are you interested in being a hot lunch parent volunteer? It’s an awesome opportunity to see your kiddo/kiddos during the school day and help serve lunch.

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, August 23rd. The link to register your child/children for hot lunch will be available as well as the Sign Up Genius link to be a parent volunteer. The two links, a hot lunch FAQ, and additional details will be in the newsletter on 8/23. Each family will have the opportunity to sign up for 2 slots throughout the year. Only 1 parent attends from your family. Spots will go fast so don’t miss your chance for this exciting volunteer opportunity! We look forward to another fun year of hot lunch!

Room Parent Volunteer Updates

Sign-ups for Room Parent, Yearbook Parent, Library Volunteer, Music Volunteer, and Hot Lunch are all coming up soon. Room Parent sign-ups will be sent in the Sunday newsletter sent at 6:00 AM on Sunday, August 23.

Before you sign up for Room Parent, please review the revised Room Parent roles:

-Plan and execute a Halloween and Winter room party. Divide the duties of planning, purchasing, and executing the party with other grade-level room parents as you see fit. (For example: divide the room parents into two groups to plan each party.)
-Provide volunteer support for the Panther Fest.
-Support fundraising efforts for spring event as requested (i.e., collect a basket for the spring parent night out)
-Communicate about holiday and year-end gifting. Send emails with GiftCrowd link and include a listing of specials teachers and any support staff that help specifically with their classroom.
-Maintain grade-level Google document folder with any helpful documents/information for future Room Parents.

In the meantime, there are volunteer spots available on the following committees: Bike Rodeo (this afternoon-just show up to help!) * Spring Book Fair * Fall Panther Fest * Holiday Bazaar * Philanthropy
* Science Week * Spring Fundraiser * Teacher & Staff Appreciation

Make Sure to Register for the PTO!

Don’t forget to register for the Prospect PTO for the 2026-2027 school year. The dues paid when registering for D181/Skyward for the next school year do not include Prospect PTO registration. This must be done through Membership Toolkit. If you haven’t done so, you may update your registration for the current school year by logging onto Membership toolkit or visiting the PTO website. Select “Our PTO” and “PTO Registration” from the drop-down menu. The list provided will walk you through the process.

Also, please check the Family Account page to ensure that your family info is up to date.
PTO membership allows your family to fully participate in the 2026-2027 school year such as purchasing raffle tickets for fundraisers, access to the directory, purchasing a yearbook, signing up for volunteer roles, and more! If you have questions on your registration, e mail webmaster@prospectschoolpto.org.

A heartfelt thank you to our School Supply Committee for the time, energy, and care you put into making our school supply distribution a success.
