| WALK TO SCHOOL DAY

Get Healthy!  Reduce traffic! Be Pollution Free! Build Community! Have Fun!

 

Walk to School Day is a fun global event that involves communities from more than 40 countries walking and biking to school on the same day. At Prospect School, we participate by encouraging families to walk or bike to school and then take a “walk” around the school grounds. We end the walk with a short ceremony at the flagpole. The event takes place before school sometime in the fall.

 

 

SAFETY REMINDERS 

Be Aware:
  • Make eye contact with drivers
  • Look left-right before entering the street
Be Visible:
  • Wear bright, protective clothing
Be Predictable:
  • Use the crosswalk
  • Be on the right side of traffic and go with the flow
