PLEASE JOIN US FOR PROSPECT LIBRARY’S FALL BOOK FAIR
PARTNERING WITH ANDERSON'S BOOKFAIR COMPANY

A magical reading adventure awaits at our Fall Book Fair! It’s the perfect chance to discover new books, dive into exciting stories, and pick up some early gifts for family and friends all while supporting our school library. A wide selection of books for all ages will be available, including fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, activity books, and more!

 

When:
• Tuesday, October 21st from 8:25am – 3:30pm
• Wednesday, October 22nd from 8:25am – 3:30pm and from 6:00-8:00pm during Prospect's Family Reading Night

Important Info:
• Students in Grades Kinder thru 5th will visit the fair as a class at the times listed below. Parents are welcome (and encouraged) to join their child(ren) when they shop with their class! You are also welcome to send money with your child to shop during this time and our volunteers will help your child manage the purchasing process.
• We accept CASH and all major CREDIT CARDS (sorry no checks).
• You can help our teachers build their class libraries too! Make sure to check out the Teacher Baskets to donate a book to your child(ren)’s classroom.

The Prospect Library directly benefits from a portion of all book fair sales. These proceeds help us add new titles to our collection and replace worn out favorites ensuring our library continues to grow and inspire a love of reading.

Let's Raise Some Dough!

Back by popular demand, order Home Run Inn Take 'N Bake pizzas, salads and cupcakes with easy pick up at the school. A portion of your order will be donated back to the Prospect PTO.


Pick up at the school lobby from 2:45-3:15 on October 30th - just in time for Halloween! Pizzas can be baked within 48 hours, so make it right away, or save it for an easy dinner on the big day. Orders must be placed by October 27 using this link.

Kindergarten Music VIP Day

This week Prospect kindergarten students can invite their Very Important Person (parent, grandparent, relative, friend) to participate alongside them in music class.

This event is an "informance" -- an INFORMal perFORMANCE presentation to INFORM parents/ grandparents, etc, about what their child will learn and experience in music. VIPS will meet in the music room for a short introduction to their child's music education and then will be joined by their kindergarten student for 25 minutes of joyful music making! Please see the attached flier for more details.

Battle of the Books Club beginning at the end of October

Battle of the Books Club will be starting soon! Our first meeting is October 28, and it will continue to meet on Tuesdays after school from 3:10-4:10 until February 3. This club is open to 4th and 5th grade students. Club members will work in teams to answer questions about the 20 books from the Battle of the Books list. The Prospect team that earns the most points throughout the club meetings will compete against the other D181 elementary schools at the District Battle of the Books in February! An information letter and permission form went home with 4th and 5th grade students last week, and can also be found here. 5th Grade Fall Party

Reminder 5th Graders… Get ready for a night of fun at the 5th Grade Fall Party. The event will take place Sunday, October 19th 5:00-7:00 pm at Skyzone Westmont.
