One Book One School

Have you been reading the One Book One School selection, The Guardian Test? It’s not too late! Author Christina Soontornvat will be presenting to the students on May 6th and will be available for a meet-and-greet and book signing on Fine Arts Night. Remember to bring your book if you’d like it signed! Some of her books will also be available for purchase at the book fair.

Help us welcome Ms. Soontornvat and celebrate her book The Guardian Test by making your own guardian! If you would like to show off your creative side, we are looking for families to build your own “guardian” animal to display during the author visit and at Fine Arts Night. Use paper; legos, kits, posterboard, cardboard boxes or recycled goods - make it as big or as small as you like! All submissions should be delivered to school by Monday, May 4th.

Collecting Donations at the Book Fair

Hello Prospect Family,

We will again be collecting donations at the Book Fair in early May for the Prospect Cares Committee (the new committee that supports needs within our school and community). Please let your child know if they can donate to the collection jars at the book fair. (Note, no coins will be given as change this year but if your kids bring some from home, we are happy to accept it!)

1st-Grade Music Program -- April 17

1st-Grade students will present their musical program, Fabulous Fairy Tales, on Friday, April 17 at 9:00 a.m. in the Prospect Gym. The program includes tellings of the tales "Three Nanny Goats Gruff” (1K) and “Goldie and the Three Bears” (1J). Doors will open at 8:45 a.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

Last Chance to Sign Up for the Parent-Daughter Dance!

Calling all Prospect girls! Dress up in your best enchanted outfit and join us for an evening of dancing and fun on 4/18 in the Prospect Gym. The last day to sign up is 4/13!

The cost is $30 per person ($60 per couple). You can sign up by sending a Zelle payment to Kristen Timson at 630-947-5258 or kristen.m.timson@gmail.com. Please include your children's names in the payment memo.

Parent-Daughter Dance: Volunteers Needed!

This is a great opportunity to see what it’s all about and participate alongside the girls. It’s a fun and memorable event, and we’d love your help in making it special.
