The One World Night is less than 2 weeks away - Thursday, February 8th from 6 to 7:30pm!

Thank you for all the families that already signed up - we are so excited to have over 12 countries and cultures represented at our multicultural open house. There is still time to join...the deadline is this Wednesday, January 31st. Please sign up using this form.

In addition, we hope your Panther is getting in the mood to travel around the world! It is time to bring the inspirational artwork back to school. The deadline is February 1st. The blank sheet of paper is to be decorated by students showcasing their culture’s heritage, a culture that they would like to explore or have visited. Let the creativity of our students go free! We will be decorating our event with our students' artwork.

Michelle Icard: 8 Setbacks That Can Make a Child a Success

Date & Time: Wednesday, January 31, 2024
9:30am-11am
7pm-8:30pm
Location: The Community House
Registration Link: https://d181foundation.org/community-speaker-series

Every parent knows challenges, setbacks, and failures are part of growing up. Less clear is why these experiences are crucial to healthy development and what parents can do and say to make sure their kids learn and grow from them, instead of getting stuck.

Join us for an event with nationally acclaimed parenting author Michelle Icard, who will guide us with warmth, wisdom, and her signature humor, through what adults should and shouldn't do when a child they love faces a setback, including struggles with: believing in themselves, showing concern for others, connecting with peers or family members, following the rules, taking care of their bodies, and many more.
