What does the Prospect PTO do?

The PTO works to enrichenhance and supplement the educational experience of students, faculty and families at Prospect. By volunteering, you are contributing to making ALL kinds of educational opportunities, events and experiences happen for ALL Prospect students!

 

Plan & Sponsor Events:

  • Bike Rodeo
  • Newcomers Welcome Party
  • Fall Panther Fest (Dunk Prospect Dads!)
  • Walk To School Day
  • Family Reading Night
  • Holiday Bazaar
  • One World Night
  • Science Fair
  • Fine Arts Night
  • Parent Night Out (Spring)
  • Fall & Spring Book Fairs
  • Casual Parent Nights (Curriculum Night Open Door Hang-out/Winter Indoor Event)

 

Volunteers Help:

  • Planned/distributed weekly hot lunches
  • Assisted w/Picture Day
  • Coordinated Shop & Share events
  • Designed/sold spirit wear
  • Organized Charleston Wrap fundraiser
  • Volunteered in Library and Music Classes/Music shows
  • Managed communications (newsletter, website, social media, text messaging)
  • Distributed school supplies
  • Designed and distributed the Prospect yearbook
  • Plan and execute in-class parties and special 5th grade parties 
  • Plan Philanthropic donation events to engage students in community service

In the Previous School Year We...

  • Launched the new Philanthropy Committee
  • Restructured the Board and revised by-laws to modernize processes
  • Coordinated a Memorial Mural for the outdoor shed
  • Planned 2 Spirit Weeks
  • Helped make 5th Grade Activities extra fun!
