The student leadership club would like to thank the parents of the students that participated on Wednesday, Dec. 13. Even after a full day of MAP testing, the 4th and 5th graders in attendance (over 40 of them) were great listeners, really engaged, and thoughtful in their questions and answers as Mr. Bob Walsh spoke about key leadership principles, and the kids shared their aspirations.
Special thanks also to Bob Walsh, Jamie Blyth, Kristin Conway, Jenny Voight, Karen Szurgot, Michelle Darin and the PTO executive board members Megan Caplis, Lauren Gray, Jessica Kaczmarski for their leadership, help and support in making this afternoon possible. Look forward to seeing our 4th and 5th grade leaders in 2024!

Long time Prospect physical education teachers, Ms. Duffy and Mrs. Conway, took home two awards this fall. First, they were recognized for an innovative program (NED Highlight Award) for the GLO-GA event held last year. Secondly, they won their third Blue Ribbon award! The Blue Ribbon is an intensive self-evaluation and site visit awarded only to the top schools in the state. Six of the seven D181 schools received the award this year! Congratulations to our amazing physical education teachers!

Prospect Spring Benefit Sponsorship

12/9/2023 9:21 pm

We are beginning the process of recruiting sponsors for our Prospect Elementary Benefit to be held Saturday, March 9th 2024 at the Butterfield Country Club.

This exciting event is Prospect School’s PREMIER fundraiser and we are hoping to have a record number of Prospect families/friends amongst our list of prominent sponsors!

There are amazing sponsorship benefits including an option to donate goods or services for auctioning this year. As we start our fundraising efforts please reach out to Trisha Lewin (TNR982@gmail.com) directly if you are interested in sponsoring!

Pasta Hot Lunch Signup

12/9/2023 9:16 pm

The Hot Lunch Committee has worked with Home Run Inn to change up the pasta hot lunch option. Pasta will now served as buttered noodles with parmesan cheese and sauce on the side, so the kids can build their pasta how they like it. For that reason, we wanted to reopen the signup. The signup will be open from 12/3-12/12.

There are 6 pasta lunches left for the year, and the cost of 6 lunches is $40.50. Please find the signup and ingredients list on the PTO website.

Help us recruit candidates for next year's PTO!

Join VP's Lauren Gray and Nicole Turano on the Nominating Cmmittee to find our future leaders at Prospect!

The role of the committee is to assist in identifying nominees who would be a good fit for the positions of VP, Secretary, and Finance Officer on the executive board next school year.

This is a one time commitment in mid or late February.  We would like at least one representative from each grade. Please sign up using the SignUpGenius. Thank you for volunteering!

Custodian Holiday Appreciation Fund

12/9/2023 5:40 pm

Each year, the Prospect PTO coordinates collecting donations to the Custodian Holiday Appreciation Fund to acknowledge and show our appreciation for our custodial staff's hard work.

Before the holiday break, 100% of the funds raised are gifted to each of our custodians from the Prospect Panther families. This year, we have four custodians:

Mr. Angel
Ms. Fulgencio
Ms. Ikovic
Ms. Lukic

Any amount would be greatly appreciated for our school custodians who are working so diligently to keep our school clean and safe! Donations can be made here in Membership Toolkit. The deadline for all contributions is Monday, December 18th.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
