Home Run Inn Order Pick Up on 2/13
2/10/2024 10:04 pm
Thank you to everyone who purchased Home Run Inn to support Prospect's PTO!
To pick up your order, walk into the Prospect lobby between 2:45-3:15 PM on February 13. Please park your car in the lot or off school grounds - do not park in the car line to walk in.
If you have an older child who can pick up for you on their way out of school, that's encouraged. Fortunately, we've sold a lot of pizzas! But because of that, we are expecting a line.
Please be patient as we will get everyone their orders as quickly as we can. :)

5th Grade Lego Mindstorms Robotics Club
2/10/2024 5:53 pm
Is your child interested in robotics? Do they want to know more about coding?
Prospect’s LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Club is a club where 5th grade students will learn to design, build and program robots using Lego Mindstorms EV3 kits. Because students will work in small groups to complete projects created specifically for EV3, regular attendance at club sessions is expected. Through the design process, students will develop engineering and coding skills in building and programming robots.
*Please note that students will not be able to take the robots home as all parts will be reused from session to session.
At this time, the club is available to a maximum of 15 5th grade students and will meet on the following Tuesdays after school until 4:15 p.m.:
March 5, 12, 19
April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
May 7 (The 14th will be used as a make up day if needed.)
Please complete this Google Form (http://tinyurl.com/RoboticsClubSpring24) to request registration for the robotics club prior to February 28. If more than 15 registrations are received, a random number generator will be used to determine participation. You will be notified of your child’s participation in the club or waitlist status on March 1. If you have any questions, please contact Meredith Bailey (mbailey@d181.org).

Waste-Free Wednesdays
2/10/2024 5:45 pm
Hi Panther Families!
Our EcoPanthers Club is here to inform you about a worldwide crisis that we need your help in solving. Did you know that the average person throws out 1,600 pounds of trash per year? Pollution is a serious issue and the only way we can help is by working together to stop it.
So, Prospect’s EcoPanthers are promoting Waste-Free Wednesdays! Every Wednesday we ask you to bring a waste free lunch to prevent the trash in landfills, oceans, and cities from getting bigger.
So, "what is a reusable lunch?” A reusable lunch does not contain any plastic baggies or non-recyclable containers. Reusable lunches also have earth-friendly water bottles, not the one time use water bottles.
We challenge you to participate in Waste-Free Wednesdays and, kids, if the majority of your class brings a waste-free lunch each Wednesday, then your class could get a Panther PAW!
Waste-Free Wednesday lunches start Wednesday, February 14th, and will continue every Wednesday until the end of the school year!
Thank for your support!
