Love Your Library

2/8/2025 10:12 am

Looking for a great way to make a lasting contribution to Prospect School? Donate a book to the Prospect Library!

We are using an Amazon Wishlist for “Love Your Library."  Mrs. Swanson and Mrs. Reinhardt have added books that we would like to add to our library. Some of these books are from authors that classes met virtually last week during World Read Aloud Day!

Simply choose an item, ADD YOUR CHILD'S NAME AND CLASS TO THE "GIFT MESSAGE" and buy it. It will be shipped to Prospect. Your child’s name and school photo will be placed in the front of the book. When it’s ready, we will offer it to them to check out first, if they are interested.

Click here for our wishlist! If needed, we will keep adding to the Wishlist until the end of February. Thank you so much for showing our Prospect library some love with new books!

5th Grade Spring Robotics Club

2/7/2025 5:55 pm

Is your child interested in robotics? Do they want to know more about coding? Prospect's Lego Mindstorms Robotics Club is a club for 5th-grade students to learn to design, build, and program robots using Lego Mindstorms EV3 kits. Because students will work in small groups to complete projects created specifically for EV3, regular attendance at club sessions is important.

*Please note that students will not be able to take the robots home as all parts will be reused from session to session.

At this time, the club is available to a maximum of 15 5th-grade students and will meet on the following Wednesdays after school until 4:20 p.m.:

February 19 & 26
March 5, 12 & 19
April 16, 23 & 30

*If needed May 7 will be used as a make-up date.

Please complete the Google Form ( https://tinyurl.com/5th-Grade-Robotics-Club ) to request registration for the robotics club before Wednesday, February 12. If more than 15 registrations are received, a random number generator will be used to determine participation. You will be notified of your child's participation in the club or waitlist status on February 14.

If you have any questions, please contact Meredith Bailey (mbailey@d181.org)
