EcoPanthers Starts This Week!

EcoPanthers kicks off the club year this Wednesday and will meet from 3:05-4:05 after school. The club meets the following dates: 10/8, 4/29, and 5/6. Get ready for some eco-fun!

Save the Date: Family Reading Night

You are invited to explore the works of Christina Soontornvat at Family Reading Night on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 6-8pm. Ms. Soontornvat has a wide variety of picture books, graphic novels, and chapter books appealing to students of all ages. We will be reading Legends of Lotus Island: The Guardian Test together as a school early next year and we are excited to have Ms. Soontornvat visit Prospect in May. Stay tuned for more details!

Kindergarten Music VIP Day

This October, Prospect kindergarten students can invite their Very Important Person (parent, grandparent, relative, friend) to participate alongside them in music class.

This event is an "informance" -- an INFORMal perFORMANCE presentation to INFORM parents/ grandparents, etc, about what their child will learn and experience in music. VIPS will meet in the music room for a short introduction to their child's music education and then will be joined by their kindergarten student for 25 minutes of joyful music making! Please see the attached flier for more details.

Tech Connect Ambassadors -- Grades 2-5

We are pleased to embark on the third year of the Tech Ambassadors leadership program at Prospect School. Students who complete the application process and are chosen as Tech Ambassadors will serve as leaders within our school and district.

2nd-5th Grade Tech Ambassadors will meet once a month on Thursday during lunch/recess. Once the applications are reviewed and participants are selected, meeting dates will be sent to parents.

Goals and Mission of the Tech Ambassadors:

• To develop leadership skills to help their school community

• To serve as technology integration leaders in their school

• To foster positive digital citizenship

We ask both new and returning students to indicate their interest in the program by October 8th. Please discuss this opportunity with your child prior to starting the application process.

Charleston Wrap Fundraiser 2025

The Charleston Wrap Fundraiser benefiting the Prospect PTO is underway and there are TWO weeks left in our sales. Thank you for your awesome support so far!

All orders are done online and delivered directly to your home. Please use this link with instructions on how to register your student online. Prospect’s School ID is: 12653. In order to guarantee delivery for the holidays we need to submit all orders by Friday, October 17th.

Let's Raise Some Dough!

Back by popular demand, order Home Run Inn Take 'N Bake pizzas, salads and cupcakes with easy pick up at the school. A portion of your order will be donated back to the Prospect PTO.


Pick up at the school lobby from 2:45-3:15 on October 30th - just in time for Halloween! Pizzas can be baked within 48 hours, so make it right away, or save it for an easy dinner on the big day. Orders must be placed by October 27 using this link.

Sock-tober

Throw some extra socks in your shopping cart at Costco or add them to your Target online order! Then have your student drop them off in the school collection bin. Thank you for helping the Prospect Cares Committee keep our neighbors feet warm this winter!
